Underage Training 2010
Underage training resumes Saturday 27th February 2010 at 3pm Turn Moss. All underage players are encouraged to build on the successes of last year and attend the first training session of the year and meet their new coaches. Fixtures lists for the season will be circulated on the day and arrangements for subs etc will also be explained. Please bring all new recruits and any absolute beginners along.

The arrangements for each age group for this season are as follows:-
U18s – All players over 17 are invited to attend training with the senior & junior squads currently being held Saturday mornings at Turn Moss please contact Jimmy Wray 07818 070247 for details. In addition Jimmy has been appointed Lancashire’s U18s coach and it is expected that all of our eligible players will be involved in this squad.
U16s – Club games for us at this level are to be organised on a 7or 9 a side basis. Training at this age group will be led at St Lawrence’s by Paul Murphy, Brendan Deacy 07789 744774 and Louie McIntyre
U14s – In order to ensure the continued skills development for our players in this age group training will be held in partnership with St Anns & Peters, Brendan Deacy 07789 744774 will remain our coaching contact for this age range. Blessed Thomas Holford (BTH) and Loreto High are our main feeders at U14s and we intend develop our contacts and grow our squads via these schools.
U12s – Seamus Murphy 07792 913302 and Brendan Hargaden 07887 944819 will take charge of training for U12s following a successful season with the U10s. Competitions will be initially on a blitz basis followed by a Lancashire league.
U10s – Training will be taken by Trevor O’Grady 07505 133227 and Pete Melarkey 07717 503341 again matches will be primarily on a blitz basis. We anticipate further recruitment at this level from the involvement of our youngsters (Siobhan & Matt Kelly, Declan Jennings, James Deacy) with Holy Family and St Johns. If numbers permit we propose to further split training at this level with U8s being coached separately
